The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association has made the decision to cancel both men's and women's basketball national championships due to the ongoing developments in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The women's championships were scheduled to take place at Vancouver Island University's Nanaimo campus March 18-21.
Please see the following statement from the CCAA website:
"Due to the ongoing developments in the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Board of Directors are announcing their unanimous decision to cancel the 2020 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball National Championships. The safety of our student-athletes is our priority and we will continue to closely monitor the CCAA Championships that are currently taking place."
